Description

Details

Brinsea's Mini ADVANCE incubator is a fan assisted egg incubator holding up to 7 eggs which are turned automatically. Up to 12 smaller eggs (e.g. pheasant or quail) can be accommodated using the optional small egg disk. The combination of a simple yet accurate menu driven digital control, fan assistance and carefully directed airflow  result in a machine which is deceptively sophisticated yet convenient and extremely easy to use. The digital display shows incubation temperature (in °C or °F), days remaining before hatch and turning status. The user can alter settings to control incubation temperature, temperature units, turning interval, turning angle, the number of days your eggs take to hatch from fresh and the high and low temperature alarm limits. If the number of days to hatch isn't known then the automatic turning can be controlled by the user and easily turned off when the first egg cracks.

The mini ADVANCE incubator can accomodate eggs up to 65mm in length. This includes most hens and ducks eggs, some turkey eggs but not goose eggs.

The high quality clear top allows you to see every second of an egg hatching from every angle. Brinsea's Mini incubators run at 12v for safety and are supplied with a mains power adaptor.

The Mini ADVANCE is covered by Brinsea's free 2 year quarantee (just follow the user instructions to register online).

The Brinsea Mini ECO and Mini ADVANCE incubators are designed to be used by children as well as adults but they are not toys and children should only use them under adult supervision.

Please note:  It is NOT possible to upgrade the Mini Eco and Mini Advance to become a Mini Advance EX as the control systems for each machine are different and they are not compatible with each other.

IMPORTANT:- After hatching, the smallest chicks (e.g. quail) can be at risk from drowning in the water pots. It is advised that small pebbles or marbles are placed in each water pot before hatching to reduce this risk. This will not reduce the evaporation of the water if the level is maintained to just above the pebbles.

The Brinsea Mini incubator is a small, high quality, low cost, egg incubator combining ease of use, performance and exceptional value.

The three versions of the Mini give a wide choice of convenience, sophistication and price
but all provide the essential environmental control necessary for successful egg hatching.
The clear walls of the egg chamber mean fantastic visibility of the hatching eggs without lifting the lid and the fan-assisted design coupled with detailed airflow analysis results exceptionally even heating of the eggs.

The Mini Eco holds 10 hens eggs (or equivalent) and provides the fine temperature control to ensure consistent and reliable hatches. Temperature is monitored on a purpose built liquid-in-glass thermometer and although factory set, the electronic temperature control allows fine tuning of the temperature setting if required.

The Mini Advance version provides automatic egg turning with autostop 2 days prior to hatching, countdown to date-of-hatch and temperature alarms on its digital display so you always know the status of your hatch. Eggs are turned by rotating egg disks. Two disks are available, one for 7 eggs of all sizes up to duck (supplied as standard) with a second small egg disk holding 12 eggs up to the size of pheasant available as an optional extra.

Humidity is provided for with central water reservoirs in both models and both operate at low voltage (from mains adapters supplied) for safety.

I can't say enough good things!Review by Rose DiMeter

I just can't say enough about this incubator! I am a teacher and a mother, and have used this incubator both in the classroom and in my home. The kids are awe-struck every time those little chicks start to pip. We do incubation as a 2nd grade project in my school, and I think it is about the perfect timing. The kids are big enough to understand life cycles and a little bit about the biology, but still be engaged and interested in the process. This incubator is very easy to set up and use, and comes with smiles included! (Posted on 10/21/2013)

I purchased this incubator for my kids to learn about hatching eggs. We keep a few chickens and usually let the hens do the work, but I wanted my kids to learn more about the process. It worked! They were so excited to see the embryos growing as we candled the eggs through the process. Sometimes I would catch my youngest staring at the eggs, waiting for something to happen. The joy that we had the day that our eggs hatched was totally worth the money. (Posted on 5/21/2013)
Works Great- a little pricey Review by William Frances

This incubator was given to me as a gift from my wife. It works great, and I have hatched a lot of eggs in it, but I was dissappointed to find out how much she paid for it. There are units that hold a heck of a lot more eggs and cost a lot less, too. It is a pretty cool unit, though, and it doesn't take up much space. Would buy it again for myself if it were cheaper.
